DC Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib holds public outreach camp in remote Panchayat of Block Tikri

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today conducted an extensive tour of Block Tikri of District Udhampur and listened to scores of public issues and demands during public outreach camp held at Government High School Jangal Gali.BDC Chairperson, Nisha Sharma, Block Tikri, DDC member, Ashu Sharma, Sarpanches, Panches besides a large number of general public hailing from adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems in presence of District Officers of various departments.They demanded complaint about Mobile network problem in the area, unscheduled power cuts, dilapidated conditions of roads, lack of Boundary wall at Middle School Chirai, shortage of staff in Government Schools and health institutions, . They further demanded construction of NTPHC building at Chirai, repair of Dhanu Pilot scheme, establishment of Grid station, Construction of over head foot bridge near GHSS at Tikri, Inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Ayushmann Bharat scheme, Up-gradation of road from Basa Morh to Jangal Gali, establishment of tourist hut at Jangal Gali, regularization of Daily wagers, establishment of Veterinary centre at Sundrani, Installation of mobile towers, bringing the area on the Tourist map, construction of additional class rooms in High School at Jangal Gali etc.

The DC gave a patient hearing to the public issues and demands. She passed on-spot directions for redress of their grievances at an earliest and asked the officers to take in-depth appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress on priority. The DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing specific directions to the concerned officers. Interacting with the locals, the DC informed that Government of India has launched a flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) “SEHAT” scheme and said that it is the largest health insurance scheme which aims at providing a health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India. She asked the general public to register for Sehat scheme. The DC appealed to the general public take COVID-19 vaccination to avoid the spread of COVID-19 infection as vaccination is extremely important for immunity against the COVID-19 infection.The BDC Chairperson, DDC member and general public presented a detailed memorandum to DC and thanked for organising the public outreach camp in the remote area.
