Youth support in Mission Fateh 2.0 vital to defeat second wave of Covid-19: Vijay Inder Singla

Bhawanigarh/Sangrur : Punjab School Education and Public Works Minister Vijay Inder Singla, on Thursday, said that every section of the society has to play its due role in defeating the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in which the support of the youth is also vital. The Cabinet Minister was here at the Market Committee Office to participate in a virtual program organized by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to interact with the youth in connection with Mission Fateh 2.0 through video conferencing. The Cabinet Minister said that although, vaccination against coronavirus was being carried out but one should be vigilant at all times to avoid exposure to coronavirus for which the youth should take charge to make their family and the people around them aware of the virus.Vijay Inder Singla said that it was his primary duty to provide all the necessary facilities to the people of Sangrur during the pandemic and every possible facility including medical services was being provided for the treatment of positive patients.

He said that besides increasing the number of beds with oxygen availability in the government hospitals of the district, necessary approval was also being given to the private hospitals for the treatment of COVID. He said that besides ensuring supply of oxygen in the hospitals, he has also set up a ‘Covid War Room’ in a hall of Kali Mata Mandir in Sangrur under the ‘Zimmewaar Sangrur’ campaign ensured 100 beds with oxygen concentrators. He said that after the beds available in the hospitals will be fully occupied, the indoor admission would start in the Covid War Room.The Cabinet Minister said that he has also started a helpline for the people of Sangrur on which the patients of COVID can seek any medical or other necessary help by calling or texting. He said that within 2 hours of receiving the call or message on the helpline number 88981-00004, it is being ensured that the volunteers should help the needy patients. He said that the residents of Sangrur were his family and he will always be trying his best to take care of his family members. He also appealed to the people of Sangrur to get vaccinated against coronavirus.On this occasion, SDM Bhawanigarh Dr. Karamjit Singh, Chairman Market Committee Pradeep Kad and other dignitaries were also present.
