SAD to hold protest march to CM’s residence to remind AAP govt of promise made by Kejriwal to his sister Sippy Sharma

Bikram S Majithia visits PTI teachers agitation atop water tank and demands they be regularized as promised by Kejriwal

Mohali : Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia today said the SAD would take out a protest march to chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence to remind him about the promise made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener Arvind Kejriwal to his sister Sippy Sharma one year back promising that 646 Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) would be regularized once AAP came into power in the State.

Expressing shock at the manner in which the Delhi chief minister had made light of the sacred bond between a brother and a sister, Mr Bikram Majithia said “Kejriwal visited this spot on October 23 and assured Sippy Sharma as a brother that all Physical Instructors would be regularized once a AAP government was formed in the State.

It is tragic that Sippy Sharma has again climbed the same water tank here which her brother visited on November 27, 2021 to remind him of his promise”.Mr Bikram Majithia, who also talked extensively with Mrs Sippy Sharma and even urged her to climb down from the tank in view of the hostile conditions on the top, said it was even more shocking that the AAP government had brushed its hands off the matter by stating that it did not need the services of the 646 Physical Instructors.

Assuring the agitating employees that the SAD would not allow Kejriwal off the hook, Mr Majithia said “besides the issue of solemn promise made by Kejriwal and Mr Bhagwant Mann it is also an issue of personal commitment given by the AAP Convener.

“Mr Kejriwal had said while the then Punjab government forces teachers to climb atop water tanks, the Delhi government sent them to Sweden, England and New Zealand. We will force Mr. Kejriwal to fulfill the promise made to his sister and regularize the PTI teachers”.

Meanwhile Mrs Sippy Sharma told Mr Majithia that even Physical Instructors from Satoj and from the chief minister’s constituency were also agitating for justice. She said the chief minister’s wife Dr Gurpreet Kaur had also assured them that justice would be done to them but to no avail.

Mr Majithia while asserting that Dr Gurpreet Kaur should also join the agitating PTI employees if she was really serious about ensuring justice to them said “these teachers have been promised that their services would be regularized before the coming Karva Chauth.

Dr Gurpreet Kaur should ensure this happens or sit here with the teachers in solidarity”.Talking to newsmen, Mr Majithia said the AAP had earlier befooled Punjabis and was doing the same in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

“The electorate in Gujarat and Himachal is told that all promises made to Punjabis have been fulfilled while the truth is before you”. He said the situation was such that those approaching the chief minister to demand justice were thrashed mercilessly.
