Health Minister inaugurating the newly constructed 50 bedded Mai Daultan Mother & Child Hospital at Civil Hospital Tarn Taran

He said that the construction of 26 Mai Daultan MCH Hospitals have already been completed out of total 37 Hospitals, while the remaining 11 hospitals would be completed within a year.He said that to mark 550th Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Punjab Government decided to name 37 Mother and Child Healthcare (MCH) Hospitals setting up in the state after the name of Mai Daultan, who took care of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at the time of his birth.He said that to provide the quality healthcare services to mothers and new born children near to their residences, this hospital has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore. It is also equipped with all modern facilities.Construction of 11 Mai Daultan MCH hospitals is in progress and would be come at a cost of around Rs.73.00 Crores which were being set up at Sangrur, Nakodar, Moga, Fatehgarh Sahib, Goniana, Malout, Giddarbaha, Phagwara, Kharar, Budhlada & Jagraon, he said.Mr. Sidhu further said that now under Mission Fateh to defeat Coronavirus, the war is being fought on a large scale. He appealed to the people to take precautionary measures for the success of Mission Fateh and also educate others about wearing masks, washing hands, downloading COVA app and maintaining social distance.The Cabinet Minister further said that health services in Punjab would be modernized and computerized soon on the lines of the banking system. He said that in all the Govt. Hospitals, services of CT scan and ultrasound would also be commenced on the AIIMS and PGIMER rates in synergy with private players, which would further improve and strengthen the health services.MLA Tarn Taran Dr. Dharambir Agnihotri, MLA Patti Mr. Harminder Singh Gill, MLA Baba Bakala Mr. Santokh Singh Bhaliapur, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh & SSP Dharuv Dahia were also present on the occasion.
