380 Bu (Ballot Unit) Machines Released To Vidhan Sabha Constituency 052 Kharar

S.A.S. Nagar: Supplementary randomization of electronic voting machines took place today at District Administrative Complex. Disclosing this here today District Electoral Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia said that in view of the forthcoming Assembly Elections, the Electronic Voting Machines to be used in Assembly Constituency 052 Kharar of District SAS Nagar have been randomly randomized. She said that 380 BU (Bellot Unit) machines have been issued to this constituency. General Observer for Assembly constituency 052 Kharar IAS Mr. Mohammad Zubair Ali Hashmi and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal were also present at the occassion.

Isha Kalia said that the number of candidates contesting in Vidhan Sabha constituency 052 Kharar has increased to 17 and the number of candidates including the NOTA button has increased to 18. She said that due to the increase in the number of candidates, 380 BU machines have been issued to Vidhan Sabha constituency 052 Kharar in the presence of all the independent candidates of the constituency.In view of which 2 BU (Ballot Unit) machines are now being installed with each polling machine of Kharar constituency. It may be mentioned that a list of 16 candidates can be included in one BU machine.She apprised the candidates present in the meeting of Vidhan Sabha constituency 052 Kharar in detail about the electronic voting machine and urged them to follow the instructions and rules of Election Commission of India so that the elections could be conducted in a free and fair manner. Candidates contesting from constituency Kharar and their representatives were present on the occasion.
