Potential Linked Credit Plan 2021-22 for SAS Nagar, launched

Total Credit Potential under Priority Sector to be Rs.7314.53 Crore; 6% more than previous year

Rajiv Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner(Development), SAS Nagar launched the Potential Linked Credit Plan(PLP) for SAS Nagar district here today in the presence of Srikrishna Biswas, AGM, Lead District Office, RBI , Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, District Development Manager, NABARD, Upkaar Singh , Chief Lead District Manager, PNB, Ravi Kant Bajaj , Director, PNB-R-SETI and other dignitaries present during the District Consultative Committee meeting held at District Administrative Complex SAS Nagar.The District Potential Credit Plan is prepared by NABARD every year. The total credit potential under the priority sector has been estimated Rs.7314.53 Crore for the Financial year 2021-22, which is 6% increase over the previous year i.e.2020-21.The

The total credit potential under the priority sector has been estimated Rs.7314.53 Crore for the Financial year 2021-22, which is 6% increase over the previous year i.e.2020-21.The theme of the PLP 2021-22 is “Collectivization of Agriculture produce for Enhancing Farmer’s Income”. The collectivized platform through Farmers Producers Organisations (FPOs) shall provide farmers economies of scale, marketing linkage and value chain support for realizing higher returns for their produce resulting in development of vibrant and sustainable farming and overall development of farmers especially small and marginal farmers.The highlights of NABARD’s PLP for the Finanical Year 2021-22 include Total Credit Potential under Priority Sector as Rs.7314.53 Crore, Projection in Agriculture& Allied activities 40%that is Rs.3589.80. Crore, on MSME 40% ( non farm sector) which is equivalent to Rs.2458.68 Crore and on the Other Priority Sector 20% that is about Rs.1266.55 Crore.
