Ludhiana (Rural) police arrest persons & recover arms and ammunition in case related to killing of 2 ASIs

Jagraon (Ludhiana) : Charanjit Singh Sohal, I.P.S., S.S.P. Ludhiana (Rural) while giving information to the press has briefed that on 15-05-2021 ASI Bhagwan Singh, ASI Dalwinderjit Singh and PHG Rajwinder Singh of CIA Staff, Jagraon were on a routine checking for suspicious persons in New Dana Mandi.While going from Dana Mandi towards Lande Fatak they observed an l-10 car and a Canter parked under the Mandi sheds, during checking the occupants of the car fired upon the police officers, killing ASI Bhagwan Singh on the spot and injuring ASI Dalwinderjit Singh who later succumbed to his injuries in the Civil hospital Jagraon.The accused fled from the spot after the incident. Accordingly an FIR number 93 Dated 16-05-2021 was registered u/s 302/307/397/353/186/34 of IPC and 25/27 of ARMS ACT, at PS City Jagraon, against accused Jaipal Singh s/o Bhupinder Singh r/o Dashmesh Nagar Ferozepur , Baljinder Singh alias Babi s/o Gurnam Singh r/o Mahala Khurd PS Baghapurana, Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi s/o Ravinder Singh r/o Kharar District Mohali and 1 unknown person.During investigation the unknown accused was identified as Darshan Singh s/o Pritam Singh r/o Sahauli PS Jodhan.On 19-05- 2021 Gurpreet Singh alias Lucky s/o Hardial Singh r/o Dhaleke District Moga, Ramanpreet Kaur alias Raman w/o Gurpreet Singh r/o Dhaleke District Moga, Satpal Kaur alias Noni w/o Darshan Singh r/o Sahauli PS Jodhan, Gagandeep Singh alias Nanna s/o Gurdev Singh r/o Sahauli PS Jodhan and Jaspreet Singh s/o Baljinder Singh r/o Abuwal currently living in Atam Nagar Jagraon were nominated in the above mentioned case and consequently sections 212/216/120B/420/467/468 of IPC were added.On 20-05-2021 accused Gurpreet Singh alias Lucky and Ramanpreet Kaur alias Raman r/o Dhaleke were arrested from Boparai gate, Budhel, PS Sudhar . On interrogation of Gurpreet Singh, Nanakchand Singh alias Nanak alias Dholu s/o Balwant Singh r/o Sahauli District Ludhiana was nominated in the case. Accused Satpal Kaur, Gagandeep Singh alias Nanna, Jaspreet Singh and Nanakchand Singh alias Nanak alias Dholu were arrested from village Sahauli PS Jodhan.He informed that from Satpal Kaur, police have recovered Ammunition 20 rounds(12 bore), 60 rounds(pistol .32 bore) 20 rounds(revolver .32 bore), 80 rounds(.30 bore Springfield), 4 magazines, 1 telescope, 2 Mobile phones, Holster, Belt and pull-through, from Jaspreet Singh 20 rounds(.32 bore), from Nanakchand Singh 43 rounds(.32 bore), from Gagandeep Singh 1.12 bore pump action gun and 16 live cartridges, from Gurpreet Singh 1.12 bore double barrel gun and 20 live cartridges, 1 Swift car PB-09-Y-1149, 26 Fake RCs and from Ramandeep Kaur 3 printed RCs and 8 blank RC cards.The above mentioned accused collectively used to help the gangsters in carrying out illegal activities and are also involved in delivery of illegal articles to Gangster Jaipal Singh group, who planned to hide the above said arms and ammunition at a safe place. The police will conduct deep interviewing of the arrested accused after obtaining police remand.
