CP Visits Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Temple To Review Security Arrangements

Jalandhar : In order to ensure foolproof security arrangements, adherence of social distancing and masking during the visit of people in Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Temple, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that more than 600 security personnel and CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the premises.The Commissioner of Police, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police Gurmeet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vatsala Gupta, undertook the checking in the Sodal temple.Reviewing the security arrangements, Commissioner of Police reiterated the firm commitment of the Commissionerate Police to maintain law at every cost and said that sole aim of inspecting the arrangements was to make security system more responsive and efficient.Seeking fulsome support and cooperation from the people in this trying situation of Covid-19 pandemic, he asked the people to obey the COVID-19 protocols while visiting the temple especially proper wearing of protective masks, maintaining social distancing etc.He said that as historic fair witness heavy influx of the pilgrims at this sacred place every year but due to pandemic, the fair is not being held in this year.However, he said that to facilitate the devotees from across the globe to pay obeisance at Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Temple virtually, the management committee has already made the facility available. Bhullar said that the Police was there round the clock to help and assist people adding that the Commissionerate Police would uphold the glorious tradition of the Punjab Police to perform their duty with utmost zeal and professional integrity.
