Ensuring the augmentation of the medical facilities in Shaheed Babu Labh Civil Hospital for level-III Covid patients who need better Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care and ventilators, the district administration has equipped ICU with 56 fowler beds with two high flow nasal oxygen therapy machines at the cost of Rs 25 lakh.Further considering the rise in Covid cases, the Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori has further ordered the setting up of oxygen plant in the Civil hospital and more medical equipment worth Rs 60 lakh to ensure best possible care to the patients.On Friday evening, Deputy Commissioner along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Vishesh Sarangal took stock of the upgraded infrastructure in ICU at Civil Hospital.Mr Thori said that district administration is fully geared up to effectively deal with the surge of Coronavirus cases and upgraded health care infrastructure was crucial to tackle the cases efficaciously.He said that earlier ICU had 28- beds and now the administration had added 28- more beds, two high flow nasal oxygen therapy machines, multipara monitor, pulse oximeters, infusion pumps, suction machines and others.He said that this ICU has been strengthened on the modern lines to ensure that patients do not get any problems in availing best care
