Martyr Havildar Kuldeep Singh cremated with full state honour at his native village raju dwakhari

Dasuya (Hoshiarpur) : The mortal remains of Martyrs Havildar Kuldeep Singh were consigned to flames with full military and state honours at his native village Raju Dawakhari on Friday evening. Havildar Kuldeep Singh of 15 Sikh LI was killed in firing from Pakistan Army Thursday at border in Jammu and Kashmir. The Martyr is survived by his mother, wife, a daughter and a son. Martyr’s eight-year old son Harshpreet Singh lit the pyre.People from different walks of life attended the cremation including Punjab Cabinet Minister Sunder Sham Arora, Punjab Chief Minister’s Political Secretary and MLA Sangat Singh Giljian and Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait.Expressing sympathies with the bereaved family, the Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora said that Havildar Kuldeep Singh had made supreme sacrifice in line with duty, which would be ever remembered by one and all. He said that the supreme sacrifices made by our brave soldiers in protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country would instill the spirit of patriotism and nationalism amongst the younger generations.The Minister said that Punjab Government would stand by the family of martyr. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had already announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 50 lakh along with a Government job to a next of kin of the martyr.  SP Raminder Singh and SDM Dasuya Raminder Singh Heer were amongst those attended the cremation.
