Inauguration of new buildings in government schools at Raidharana Shadihari and Kauhrian

Dirba/Sangrur : Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister of Punjab Shri Harpal Singh Cheema today inaugurated the newly constructed rooms of Government Senior Secondary School Rai Dharana Shadihari and the new building of Science Lab and Library at Government Senior Secondary School Kauhrian.

Addressing the school students and other dignitaries, Cabinet Minister Shri Cheema said that education has been kept as a priority area by the Punjab government to further raise the standard of education. He said that under the same objective, the process of converting government schools into Schools of Eminence is under progress.

Shri Cheema said that the Punjab government is committed to bring unprecedented changes in the field of education and health. Cabinet Minister said that soon the teachers of government schools will be released from non-teaching responsibilities. He also said that the process is going on to ensure the development of infrastructure in schools as well as to remove the shortage of teachers.

He said that in those government senior secondary schools where a large number of students are interested in non-medical, medical or commerce admissions, special efforts will be made to bring these subjects along with arts in such schools.On this occasion, while accepting the demands of the management of Raidharana Shadihari School, Shri Cheema said that no stone will be left unturned to transform the schools of Dirba constituency.On this occasion, the cabinet minister was also honored by the school management. SDM Rajesh Sharma and other personalities were also present during the function.
