Police should file FIR against Captain Amarinder Singh as CM’s name surfaced in note of father-son suicide case: Kultar Singh Sandhwan

Hoshiarpur : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lamented the suicides of Dasuya’s farmer father-son, who allegedly ended their lives after being fed up with the policies of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh government. AAP’s MLA and Kisan Wing president Kultar Singh Sandhwan and MLA and Youth Wing president Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer visited the residence of the victims and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family members. The AAP leaders said that the suicide note clearly stated that Captain Amarinder Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government were responsible for their deaths. They said that it was very unfortunate that the government which was supposed to make a living for the people was now the cause of their deaths.The leaders further said that Captain Amarinder Singh had sworn in Sri Gutka Sahib to come to power that all the debts of the farmers would be forgiven but today due to non-forgiveness of the debts of the farmers, they were forced to take such painful steps.
They said that after the name of Captain Amarinder Singh was clearly mentioned in the suicide note written by the farmer, the police should register a case against the Chief Minister for abetting them to commit suicide. “There was no sympathy in the heart of the royal minded ‘Maharaja’ towards the common man due to which the farmers of his state were being forced to commit suicide today,” the leaders said.They further said that today the false pretences and frauds perpetrated by Captain government had now been exposed and Captain Amarinder Singh should resign immediately. The leaders said that the farmers who owned only one acre of land had committed suicide which proved that the Congress government had not forgiven their debts. They said that these farmers had also stated that in reality the Congress government was falsely claiming of forgiving the debts of the farmers.The AAP leaders said that this basis alone was enough to file a case against the Punjab Congress president as his party had betrayed the farmers by making false promises in its manifesto. The leaders said that the victims were deeply disturbed by the stubborn attitude of the Union government, for which it was clearly stated in the suicide note that they were taking this step out of grief over the refusal of the Union government to listen to the voice of the farming community. They demanded that the Union government should immediately repeal the new laws on agriculture.
