One-stop suwidha centres for residents in every ward, announces Maheshinder Grewal

Ludhiana: The joint candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Maheshinder Singh Grewal accused the Congress-led government in the state of snatching away the jobs of thousands of Punjabis by shutting down Suwidha Centres and Sewa Kendras in the state. After coming in power in 2017, the congress government had decided to shut Suwidha Centres and Sewa Kendras in the state which were opened by Shiromani Akali Dal to provide assistance to the people of Punjab.“These centres were the concept of Sukhbir Singh Badal to provide services of the government departments to the residents under one roof.

Therefore, the SAD-BJP government had established these centres in both urban as well as rural areas. Moreover, these centres also helped in creating job opportunities,” said Grewal. While addressing the residents during public meetings held in Rajguru Nagar, Rishi Nagar and Jawahar Nagar Camp and other areas, Grewal said that after coming to power, he will establish one-stop Suwidha Centres in every ward.“The residents will be issued Blue cards via which they will be able to avail the services easily,” he said.Grewal added that these centres will not only improve the outreach of welfare schemes but will also create jobs for the youth. “This blue card will be the single card to avail all services including healthcare insurance,” he said.
