MP Manish Tewari Meets Top Officials To Review The Current Situation Of Covid In District Rupnagar

Rupnagar : To review the current status of Corona Virus in District Rupnagar and the arrangements being made by the administration, Mr. Manish Tewari Member Parliament, Sri Anandpur Sahib held a review meeting with the top officials of the district administration at Canal Rest House, Rupnagar today. Mrs. Sonali Giri, Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar, Dr. Akhil Chaudhary, SSP, Pawan Dewan, Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development Board besides Dr. Davinder Dhanda Civil Surgeon were specially present.Disclosing this here today Mrs. Sonali Giri Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar said that Mr. Manish Tewari was apprised about the current status of the vaccination campaign being carried out in the district especially to check the spread of Corona. The vaccination drive is going on uninterruptedly but at present the dose of vaccine is getting low and Mr. Manish Tewari assured the administration that he would work with the government to find an immediate solution in this regard.
He also enquired about the availability of beds for the treatment of Covid patients in government and non-government hospitals in India at present and also about the number of vacant beds. When asked, the Civil Surgeon Mr. Davinder Dhanda said that the supply of oxygen in the hospitals at present was satisfactory but he also requested the Member of Parliament Mr. Manish Tewari to get the necessary approval from the government to set up new oxygen plants in the district. The Civil Surgeon informed that at present the suspected cases of Corona virus which are kept under home isolation in the homes are being brought to the homes of the Health Department and District Administration by Fateh Kita.Mr. Manish Tewari appreciated the efforts being made by the district administration to control the spread of COVID and to treat the suspected patients and assured that oxygen plants would be set up in the district and more doses of COVID vaccine would be introduced.
