MRS-PTU's Pathway programme, a boon for students craving to study Abroad, VC holds press conference in Moga

Moga : The Punjab Government established Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Bathinda (Punjab) will provide a golden opportunity to students to get World class quality technical education, best placements getting prestigious jobs in government as well as private sector, safe, secure and conducive environment for study in the premier institute of Punjab Government.

Updating itself with the changing trends in the era where youth aspiring to study abroad, MRS-PTU has prepared a plan to send the Punjab youth abroad with higher skills and updated technical knowledge, which holds key to future jobs and better employable.

This was stated by MRS-PTU, Vice Chancellor, renowned Academician and Researcher Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu at a press conference at Desh Bhagat College in Moga on Tuesday.He said education should be modernised and brought in tune with the changing trends and requirements of the Industry and Trade.

The VC said the university has World class Research Scientists and renowned faculty, which will help the students in realizing dreams in higher education and studying abroad through various pathway programmes initiated by the premier University of Punjab.

Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training Punjab and University launched various new need based courses in emerging technologies and job oriented initiatives. The Admission for Academic Session 2022-23 is open for Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Commerce and Management, Pharmacy, Food Science and Technology, Agriculture, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Computational Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Skill Development.

The New Courses started from the Academic Session include Online Certified Courses in Emerging Technologies i.e. Data Science, Blockchain, Programming Languages, Cyber Crime, Machine Learning, Patents & IPR, Business Intelligence and many others.

Giving details on foreign collaborations, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu said the MRS-PTU under the patronage of Punjab government provides a unique “Enroll Here, Study Abroad” Pathway programme to save the innocent people from exploitation of Travel agents. The scheme will prove a boon for students craving to study Abroad.

Prof. Sudhu said: “Under the agreement signed by the MRS-PTU with American and Canadian universities, students will get admission in the university at Bathinda and get access to the courses of the universities abroad.

Under its robust international exchange programme, the university has collaboration with top global universities for credit transfer study paving the way for opening doors for the brilliant students aspiring to undertake study abroad.

He pointed out that many agents, working on behalf of foreign institutions, allegedly financially exploited parents and students, but even after getting degrees abroad, students were facing difficulty in getting jobs as many degrees were not even recognised in India.
