Hoshiarpur : Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur Punjab, instructed during the meeting while launching the annual calendar that the anonymous warriors of the district will be identified, apart from the beautification of villages and cities, special activities will be done by educational institutions and different departments.Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans said that the village of freedom fighter Gadri Baba Harnam Singh Tundilat, who made his valuable contribution in the country’s independence, would be developed as a model village.He was holding a meeting with the heads of different departments related to the 75th Azadi Day Amrit Mahotsav, a campaign started by the Indian Government, in the District Administrative Complex today.He said that different freedom fighters of the district have laid down their lives for the freedom of the country and the sacrifices of such great personalities can never be forgotten.He said that the village of freedom fighters Baba Harnam Singh Tundilat of Kotla Naudh Singh would be developed as a model village.

While giving instructions to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), he said that under the 75th Independence Day Amrit Mahotsav, this village should be developed as a model village by starting different development works. He said that anonymous warriors of the country belonging to the district would be identified so that people could be made aware of the contribution made by them for the country. He appealed that if any person has information about these anonymous warriors, he can bring it to the notice of the district administration.The Deputy Commissioner while instructing the heads of different departments said that activities should be carried out by issuing the annual calendar related to the 75th Independence Day Amrit Mahotsav, so that these activities can be dedicated to the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi. He said that this calendar should be prepared and handed over soon so that monitoring can also be done by the administration.

He added that apart from beautification of villages and cities, special activities should be done in educational institutions under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi. He said that Telugu and Punjabi languages ​​will be exchanged in the language learning program, so the concerned departments should also prepare a plan of activity in this regard.Shri Sandeep Hans also directed the department to ensure that the participation of people of all age groups should be ensured in the activities being conducted. Apart from this, logos of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, Flax etc. should also be installed in service centres and other offices.He also directed the Forest Department to do more and more activities under this campaign. He directed the SDMs to monitor the activities carried out at the sub-division level.
