Hoshiarpur Police nabs gang involved in House theft along with Jewellery worth Rs. 15 lakh

Hoshiarpur : Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur while briefing the press said that a special operation was launched in the city to take the incidents of thefts, during which a special team of Inspector Shiv Kumar Incharge CIA staff Hoshiarpur and Inspector Karnail Singh SHO PS Model Town was formed under the supervision of Sh. Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu, Superintendent of Police Investigation. The team achieved a major success when 04 members from Chohal durng Nakabandi and 1 member of the gang of robbers were nabbed from Dharamkot Moga and 200 GM Gold and Diamond, 600 grams of Silver worth Rs 15 lakh were recovered from them.On 11.08.21 at 12:00 noon Harjinder Kaur W/o Late Sh. Dasodhi Ram resident of Arora Colony , Hoshiarpur and her daughter went to Nehar Colony to get vaccinated . When she returned after half an hour ,she found some unknown persons enteredher house and broke the lock of the door and t stole about 200 GM Gold, Silver and Rs. 50,000/ – in cash from the cupboard of the house where she kept the Jewellery and cash in his house for his daughter wedding.

In this regard a case No. 196 dated 11.08.21 was registered U/S454,380 in PS Model Town, Hoshiarpur.This team investigated the case keeping in view all the technical, professional and logical aspects of it. As per the technical evidence different teams were formed. One of the party was sent to Dharamkot and second was sent to Jawalaji in Himachal Pradesh, but the accused were reported returning back from Jawalaji on Motorcycles. Consequently Checkpost was established near Chauhaal and today on 14.08.2021 the accused named Gaggi S/O Paali R/O Dharamkot ,Moga Jannat W/O Gaggi R/O Beas Amritsar, Shakku W/O Kaala R/O Dharamkot were arrested with Jewellery and Motorcycles. Asha W/O Jagtar R/O Dharamkot was also arrested from Moga and Jewellery both Gold and Silver was recovered from her.During questioning the accused confessed that they used to live on rent at NilkanthMohalla in Hoshiarpur and left after committing the crime. Accused Gaggi and Kaala already have three cases of Theft registered against them at Baba Bakala.
