Govt Fish seed farm, Killianwali constructing with Rs.10 cr to increase availability of quality fish seed and farmers’ income: Laljit Singh Bhullar

Fazilka : Punjab Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairy Development S. Laljit Singh Bhullar has said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government is making continuous efforts to promote aquaculture in the state, especially in the border area having saline affected waterlogged land.

While taking stock of the ongoing work of Government Fish Seed Farm, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs.10 crore at village Killianwali, the Fisheries Minister said that the construction work is in final stage and it would be completed soon so that fish farmers could derive maximum benefit. The Cabinet Minister directed the officials of the department to keep constant vigil for ensuring the quality of construction work.

S. Bhullar said that this government fish seed farm will prove boon in promoting aquaculture in the state and farmers will get quality fish seed along with technical information. He said, the border districts of state have immense potential for adopting aquaculture and increasing the income of the farmers through this agro-auxiliary occupations.

The Cabinet Minister also announced Rs.2.91 crore for the construction of the main bus stand of Abohar city, saying that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led government will not allow any obstacle in completing development works due to any shortage of grants.

Earlier, welcoming the Cabinet Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar, Senior leader Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Deep Kamboj put forth the demands of the area. Senior party leader Mr. Upkar Singh Jakhar also addressed the gathering.The Minister was accompanied by Balluana MLA Mr. Amandeep Singh Goldi Musafir, Mr. Harsukhinder Singh Babbi Badal, Mr. Dharamvir Godara, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Mr. Angrez Singh and Mr. Baldev Singh.
