In a rare feat , Government schools across the state has outshine the private schools in matter of pass percentage in 12th class results announced by the PSEB. Kapurthala : In a rare feat , Government schools across the state has outshine the private schools in matter of pass percentage in 12th class results announced by the PSEB. District kapurthala has shown great improvement and tops in the pass percentage of students in whole punjab.Deputy commissioner kapurthala Deepti Uppal has informed that ” It was a matter of pride that Government schools has shown great successes against the private school results by wiping out the tag of backwardness in terms of infrastructure, lack of suitable atmosphere. She said that the first positive aspect of this results has increased the enrollment of students in Government schools by more than 10%. It may be mentioned here that the all 5 topers in districts are girls. Calling the girls students to be the brand ambassador of women empowerment , she said that the district education authorities are parents of bright students should focus on the higher studies of these topper girls.It may be mentioned here that the pass percentage of government schools in district kapurthala was 97.49 % , followed by Roopnagar with 97.39 % and Ferozepur with 97.37 %.On the other hand the private school in all these three district have scored 92.82 %, 96.93 % and 95.65%The top 5 positions have been baged by girls students from Government schools from phagwara and kapurthala city and all these schools have also ladies proncipals.Congratulating the education department officials and parents of students who were sailed through , Deputy commissioner said that the positive aspects of these results has rebuild the faith of people in Government schools and enrollment in Government schools increases more than 10 %.Talking about her future plans, the girl krishna who is also selected for cash award of Rs. 5100 by the chief minister Punjab , said that she wants to be an engineer from IIT. Besides that Trishna said that she has a dream to be an IPS.Prominent amongst present on the ocassion included DEO Massa Singh , Deputy DEO Bikramjit singh and principals of schools.
