English Poetry Book Titled “Facade” Penned By 17-Year-Old Sukhmani Brar Released

Book Released In Presence Of Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, Commissioner Of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu & Former Vc Of Guru Nanak Dev University Dr Sp Singh At Circuit House Today

Ludhiana : An English poetry book titled “Facade” penned by 17-year-old Sukhmani Brar was released in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu, former VC of Guru Nanak Dev University Dr SP Singh and noted Punjabi poet Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill at Circuit House on Thursday.

This is Sukhmani’s second poetry book, with the first one was titled “Lost in the Night Sky”.Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik appreciated Sukhmani’s parents for motivating her for this book for encouraging her to express her thoughts through the second book.

She said that this was a deep and thought provoking book which will leave an indelible imprint on the minds of the people about inner voices. Malik lauded Sukhmani and said that she had penned an incredible book in the times of instant gratification and social media and hoped she will encourage other youths to towards literature.

Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu also urged other parents to also motivate their children to channelise their energy in the right direction. He also congratulated Sukhmani Brar for penning second book.

Dr SP Singh hoped that Sukhmani would contribute more such books in the future as well.Former president Punjabi Sahit Akademi Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill said that Sukhmani’s family basically hails from Bhagsar village in district Sri Muktsar Sahib and she has brought her thoughts in this well-crafted and creative manner.

He said that rather than wasting her time in other unproductive things, she chose penning this book.Sukhmani also thanked her father, Police Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar, mother Harpreet Kaur Brar and elder sister Nanki Brar for motivating her for this book.
