Ludhiana : Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Mandeep Singh Sidhu has appealed the TV and social media/web channels to act responsibly and solicited their wholehearted support for maintaining hard earned peace, brotherhood, and communal harmony.
Sidhu was speaking to the various social/web media platforms in a formal meeting held at single window building, here last evening. The Commissioner of Police said that all of us should make concerted efforts to uphold peace and communal harmony at every cost.
He asked them to ensure that their channels get not misused by anyone to spread hate.Seeking fulsome support from members of media for strengthening the social fabric, he said that we are the citizens of Punjab and there must not be any differences among the people.
He said that social media channels must play a constructive role to further firm the spirit of mutual trust and love in society.Sidhu said that the police administration was well aware of its bounden duty to maintain peace and harmony in the district.
