Development works worth Rs 2.80 crore commence in village Gobindgarh

S.A.S. Nagar : Health & Family Welfare and Labour Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu lays the foundation stone for the new building of Government Senior Secondary School here at village Gobindgarh. For the construction work of the school building an amount of Rs 1.91 crore has been approved.While addressing the gathering Balbir Singh Sidhu said that children are the future of our country. It is unequivocally important that the young generation is educated. The progress of any country, state or family depends upon the education and health of its people. “The development works of schools of SAS Nagar is one of my top priorities”, said he and added that the Government school of village Gobindgarh would be a Model for other schools in the District.Apart from this, the Minister also inaugurated an under channel for the drainage of water at Gobindgarh village. The under channel is constructed by Public Works department at the cost of Rs. 25 Lakh.In the series of development works of villages Minister lay the foundation stone of the construction of streets and drains at the cost of Rs. 21.50 Lakhs .The ongoing construction works include the construction of Panchayat house at cost of Rs. 25 Lakh, Dharamshala at a cost of Rs. 7.25 Lakh and the drainage system at a cost of Rs 5.25 lac.
