The Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Sunday personally handed over appointment letters to a total of 68 newly appointed and promoted employees in different categories in Health and Family welfare department.Giving out details, a health department spokesperson said that a total of 17 candidates have been given job on compassionate grounds on regular basis. These include 1 Pharmacy officer, 8 clerks and 8 Class-4 employees. While congratulating the newly appointed and promoted employees, he said that with their good performance, they should take forward the health department so that the process of providing health facilities to the people could be further improved across the state. He added that the progress and success of any department depends to a great extent on the hard work and honesty of the employees, hence all the employees especially the new ones should work hard to fulfill their responsibilities and duties. He also said the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare of all the employees.Interacting with the new joiners, The Director Health Services (DHS) Dr, Manjit Singh exhorted them to work with utmost dedication and commitment in taking forward the health care facilities to each doorstep. He said, “You all are the face of the department and should vow to put in their very best in the service of the people.” On this occasion, OSD to the health minister Dr Balwinder Singh, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr Harish Malhotra and Deputy Director Dr Harwinder Singh Gill were also present.
