SAS Nagar : Vivek Sheel Soni SSP, Distt SAS Nagar briefed through press note that on 01.07.2022 Sanjeev Kumar R/o Khanna had filed a complaint at PS City Kurali that on 06.06.2022, 35 lacs rupees were snatched from his employees Gurdeep Singh and Mohan Singh from Kurali town during the day time by unidentified persons posing themselves as GST employees. The complaint was investigated and CCTV cameras were checked.
After verifying the allegations made in the complaint a FIR no. 66 dated 06.07.2022 U/s 379 B IPC, PS City Kurali, SAS Nagar was registered. Consequently, four members of the Gang namely Gurdeep Singh @Jassi, Barinder Singh, Charanjit Singh and Harjit Singh were arrested by SHO PS City Kurali, Under the supervision of Dy.S.P (Kharar 2). The accused Harjit Singh, who is a Police employee and was wearing a police uniform at the time of incident

1. Gurdeep Singh @Jassi S/o Bhadur Singh R/o # 239, Sector 26A, Mandi Gobindgarh, Distt Fatehgarh Sahib. (09 Lacs Rupee)
2. Harjit Singh S/o Amrik Singh R/o Village Lakhanpur, PS Khamano, Distt Fatehgarh Sahib (05 Lacs Rupee) (Harjit Singh posted at Distt Fatehgarh Sahib)
3. Barinder Singh S/o Charanjit Singh R/o #254, Sector 254, Sector 26A, Mandi Gobindgarh, Distt Fatehgarh Sahib (01,50,000/- Rupee)
4. Charanjit Singh S/o Atma Singh R/o # 20, Royal City, Jassran, Mandi Gobindgarh, Distt Fatehgarh Sahib (01,90,000/- Rupee)
Recovery: Rs 17,40,000/- in Indian Currency
FIRs registered against the arrested accused Barinder Singh:
FIR No 84 dated 01.06.2018 U/S 380,381,454,342 IPC PS Amloh, Distt Fatehgarh Sahib.Accused will be produced in the Hon`ble Court and police remand will be obtained. Further important revelations are expected from them. The case is under investigation.
