Aruna Chaudhary directs to expedite the process of promotions in Social Security department

Chandigarh : Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary today directed the higher officers of the department to expedite the process of promotions in the department and finalize the seniority lists on priority.Reviewing the ongoing process of filling up the vacancies in the department during a high level meeting, Mrs. Chaudhary said that process for the vacancies, which are to be filled through promotions, should be accelerated and matter should be taken up with the representative of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) and Punjab State subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) for those vacancies, which are to be filled up through these institutions.Apart from this, the Minister directed that the seniority lists of supervisors and other posts due for promotions be finalized by next month by all means so that smooth functioning of the department could be ensured. She further said that demand should also be sent to the PPSC and PSSSB for recruitment on the posts, which will vacate after promotions so that the entire backlog could be filled in one way. Mrs. Chaudhary said that filling up of these posts would help in smooth and swift functioning of the department and the employees would get their due as well.On this occasion, the Social Security Minister welcomed the newly recruited Superintendent (Home) in the department and exhorted them to perform their duty diligently and honestly.Prominent amongst those, present in the meeting, included; Principal Secretary Mrs. Raji P. Srivastava, Director Social Security Mr. Diprava Lakra, Additional Director Mrs. Lilly Chaudhary and others.
