Punjab Upgrades Fire Fighting Services: Local Government Minister Flags Off Fire Fight Tenders

Punjab Government Led By Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Is Making All Possible Efforts To The Safety Of The State Residents

Chandigarh : Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making all-out efforts to protect the lives and property of the people of the state.

Working in this direction, Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, in the presence of Sh.Vivek Pratap Singh Principal Secretary, Local Government and Sh.Uma Shankar Gupta, Director, Local Government on Today here at Municipal Bhawan, Sector 35 Chandigarh, flagged off fire fight tenders and send to the Districts.

Giving more information in this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that 16 fire tenders have been purchased with the aim of upgrading various fire stations in the state, so that the lives and property of the State Residents can be protect.

The cabinet minister further informed that these mini advance rescue tenders has been sent to the fire stations of Sangrur, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar. Similarly, multipurpose fire tenders have been sent to Nangal, Bathinda, Kotakpura, Sultanpur Lodhi and Mukerian.

Apart from this, Quick Response Vehicles were sent to Barnala, Dhuri, Sultanpur Lodhi, Jirakpur and Kharar.The Minister instructed the in-charges/fire officers of the fire stations to ensure the maintenance of these fire tenders.

He also instructed that the registration of these fire tenders should be done in the name of the concerned Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and concerned Executive Officer, Municipal Council.

The Minister also said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is giving top priority to the safety of life and property of the people of the state and is making all possible efforts for their welfare.
