The Main Objective Of Punjab Government Led By Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Is To Provide Employement To The Youths Of The State

Chandigarh : Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making all-out efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state.

Taking a step forwarded in this direction, today Soil & Water Conservation and Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar handed over appointment and promotion letters to 10 Junior Draftsman, 09 Clerks, 04 Agriculture Sub-Inspectors and 01 Beldar of Soil and water conservation Department today here at Municipal Bhawan Sector 35 Chandigarh.

During the event, in his speech while addressing the gathering, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is providing new employment opportunities for the youth as per his election promise, so that the brains of the youths can be used for the progress of the State.

Congratulating the newly appointed/promoted employees under the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, the Cabinet Minister urged them to perform their duties with full sincerity and honesty. He urged the newly appointed employees to work by adopting a policy of zero tolerance against corruption.

He said that due to the shortage of staff in the department, there was difficulty in technical checking, verification of project estimates and in carrying out other important tasks of the department but the arrival of this batch will bring great relief to the department.

The Cabinet Minister asked to draw up new initiatives and other new programs in the ongoing Soil and water conservation works in view of the deteriorating ground water scenario of the State. He said that there is a need to start a water conservation campaign on a large scale in the state, especially in the agricultural sector.

Regarding the shortage of other staff in the department, the Cabinet Minister assured that the state government is working diligently on these issues and efforts are being made to fill the vacant posts in a transparent manner.Chief Conservator of Soils & Head of the Department, Mr.Mohinder Singh Saini also congratulated newly recruited and promoted officials and expressed hope that this will strengthen the department’s field level working.
