Children’s Development Is An Important Responsibility Of Social Security Department: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh : Punjab Government is being celebrated “Udaariyan”-child development Mela week with great enthusiasm in the Anganwadi Centers of villages across the state. On this occasion, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur with the special message of, the activities of Child Development Mela have been started in all Anganwadis of the state today.

Divulging in this regard, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Government has the responsibility for the complete development of all children associated with Anganwadi centers. Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann through the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development is organizing various programs such as pre-school services, nutrition campaign, digital parent guidance program etc for its success.

The Cabinet Minister said that this Mela is a great opportunity to commit not only the parents but the entire village towards child development, which will lead to positive results for the children in future. She also said that for the development of children, it is also important to take care of their nutrition, play-based learning, safety, resources and positive parenting.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur has directed all officials of Social Security, Women and Child Development Department to ensure that appropriate efforts are made to make the “Udaariyan – Child Development Mela” a success in all the Anganwadi Centers of Punjab.
