Cabinet Minister Aman Arora inaugurates new building of Longowal police station

Longowal : Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora inaugurated the new and modern building of Police Station Longowal in Sangrur district.

The cabinet minister congratulated the district police and said that a unique effort has been made by providing a ramp facility for the convenience of the elderly and disabled persons in this building along with other modern facilities.

The building has been prepared at a cost of about Rs. 2.25 crore. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, efforts were being made by the government to strengthen cooperation between the police and the people.

He said that orders have been given by the Chief Minister that there should not be any trouble to the general public at the police station level and full justice should be provided to every needy person within the stipulated time.

Mr. Aman Arora said that their government is fully committed to provide corruption-free governance and administration to the people of Punjab.

He said that the relationship and coordination between the police and the people should be so mature that the social evils could be eradicated completely by keeping a pro-people approach.

On this occasion, SSP Mr. Mandeep Singh Sidhu gave a warm welcome to the cabinet minister and assured that the district police will make an important contribution in social reform by strengthening community ties with the people.

On this occasion, IG Patiala range Mukhwinder Singh Chhina said that while this police station will set an example and it will also strengthen people’s relationship with the police.

It is worth mentioning that the new and modern building of Longowal police station has been constructed in an area of about 6900 square feet.

This police station has other modern facilities, like open space for public sitting i.e. waiting hall, where there is a proper arrangement of fans, chairs etc.
