Party workers should effectively highlight the policies, programs and achievements of the Central and State Governments: Jagat Prakash Nadda

Kullu : While addressing the office bearers meeting of BJP Parliamentary constituency held at Dev Sadan Kullu, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda urged the party workers to work with dedication and coordination to ensure victory of BJP in ensuing bye elections to both two Assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency.BJP National President said that party workers must also effectively highlight the policies, programmes and achievements of the Central as well as State Governments to ensure strengthening of BJP at the grass root level. He said that the party functionaries must also ensure that they discharge their responsibilities with renewed zeal. He said that party workers were backbone of any organization and must come up to the expectations of their leadership.National BJP President urged the BJP leaders and workers to visit hospitals and extend all possible help to the needy. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that people of Himachal Pradesh were fortunate that the National President of the largest political party of the World hails from Himachal Pradesh. He said that this also entrust greater responsibility on the shoulders of the people of the State to give their wholehearted support to political party headed by the son of the soil. He said that three and half years of tenure of present State Government have been full of achievements despite the fact that almost one and half years was adversely affected the covid pandemic. He said that despite lockdown and increase in number of covid cases the State Government ensured that the pace of development goes uninterrupted. He said that victory of the BJP in all the elections to Lok Sabha and two bye elections thereafter was testimony to the good work done by the present State Government. He said that the performance of BJP was also outstanding in the PRIs and ULBs elections.
Jai Ram Thakur said that there was no comparison between the three and half years tenure of the previous Congress Government and present State Government as the present Government has accelerated the pace of development in all spheres. He said that as many as 1585 kilometers roads were constructed during the first three and half years of Congress Government from 1st January, 2013 to 30 June, 2016 whereas over 2951 kilometers of roads were constructed during present tenure of the present State Government from 1st January, 2018 to 30 June, 2021. He said that similarly 5354 kilometers roads were tarred during the present tenure of the State Government as compared to 3309 kilometers tarred during the tenure of the previous Congress Government. Similarly 145 bridges were constructed and 261 villages connected by road by the previous Congress Government as compared to 216 bridges constructed and 305 villages were connected by roads during the tenure of present State Government, he added.Chief Minister said that 333 projects worth Rs. 1460 crore were sanctioned under NABARD during the tenure of present State Government as compared to 226 projects worth Rs. 886.44 crore sanctioned during the tenure of the previous Congress Government. He said that under CRIF 40 projects worth Rs. 941.66 crore were sanctioned during the present State Government whereas projects worth only Rs. 301.53 crore were sanctioned during the previous Government tenure. He said that under PMGSY 624 projects worth Rs. 2801 crore were sanctioned during the present State Government tenure as compared to 431 projects costing Rs. 1182 crore sanctioned during the previous government tenure.
Jai Ram Thakur said that schemes like Janmanch and Mukhya Mantri Sewa Sanklap Helpline proved boon to the people of the State in redressal of thier grievances. He said that 3.15 lakh gas connections were distributed to eligible families under Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna besides providing health cover to lakhs of people under Himcare and Ayushman Bharat Schemes. Chief Minister said that under Sahara Yojna Rs. 3000 was being provided to families having chronically ill patients. He said that this scheme has benefitted over 14260 people and an amount of Rs. 30.57 crore have been spent on this account.MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap welcomed the National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He also detailed various activities being carried out by the BJP to strengthen the party base in the State. He said that the BJP has won nine zila parishads, 67 panchayat samitis, two Municipal Corporations out of four and 18 nagar panchayats out of 29. He said that the BJP workers have also extended all possible help to the needy during the covid pandemic.
