Arvind Kejriwal guarntees peace, security and brotherhood to Punjab

Gurdaspur : AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal reached Punjab for his two-day visit, on Friday. After landing at Amritsar airport, he went straight to Gurdaspur. First, here he paid obeisance in the temple of Sri Hanuman ji and prayed for the prosperity and peace of the state then addressed a huge public meeting of the party. He described Gurdaspur and Pathankot district as the land of patriots and said that these districts have the highest number of soldiers in the Indian Armed Forces and they also give maximum sacrifices for the security of our country.Addressing a public meeting organized at Hanuman Chowk in Gurdaspur, Arvind Kejriwal gave five guarantees to ensure the security, law and order, peace and brotherhood of Punjab. “First, we will completely eliminate the corruption spread in police recruitment and transfer postings. Good, qualified and honest police officers will be appointed on high posts and unnecessary pressure and interference of MLAs, MPs, ministers and political parties in police work will be completely stopped,” said Kejriwal.

In the second guarantee, Kejriwal assured justice in all the cases of sacrilege of all religious scriptures including Sri Guru Granth Sahib and strict punishment to the culprits and conspirators behind the bomb blasts, Bargadi sacrilege, Bahbal Kalan firing case. No one responsible for it can escape, no matter how influential they may be. He said that the people of Punjab have to stay alert from the anti-national and anti-social forces as opportunists are trying to take politial advantage by spoiling the peace and brotherhood of the poll bound state. Before the 2017 elections, such elements were successful in their nefarious designs, due to which the whole of Punjab is suffering today.The third and fourth guarantees were given to crush the nefarious designs of the anti-national forces across the border. Kejriwal said that every inch of land adjacent to the international border will be ensured tight security, through world-class state-of-the-art technologies and trained police force, smuggling and infiltration of drones, weapons, drugs coming from across the border, all will be stopped.

Kejriwal gave the fifth guarantee in relation to preventing desecration of religious places and scriptures. He announced that a separate police force would be formed to protect all religious places including temples, mosques, churches and gurudwaras. So that in future such incidents can be avoided.After giving the guarantees, Kejriwal said that the aim of our politics is to make every common man of our country special. To make the people special, the AAP government of Delhi is giving free electricity, free water and free good education and medical services to the common people. This year the result of government schools in Delhi was 99.7%, which is a record. At the same time, more than 2.5 lakh students left the private schools to get admission in government schools. When Melania Trump, wife of former US President Donald Trump, came to India, she visited Delhi’s government schools and praised him a lot, much to PM Modi’s discomfort.Targeting Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, he said that Channi does not want the education system of Punjab to improve. That is why they are falsely claiming that Punjab government schools are world class. Channi government is very weak and like a circus. Congress leaders are fighting among themselves for the power, can never do any good to Punjab.

Kejriwal promised the people of Punjab that Aam Aadmi Party would give a stable, honest and stern government to Punjab like Delhi. After the formation of AAP government in Punjab, like Delhi, we will provide free and 24 hours electricity to the people of Punjab. Will provide free quality education and medical services to the people by building world class schools and hospitals. Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Channi, Kejriwal said, we do not know how to play Gulli-danda like him, but we come to build good schools and hospitals. Now the people of Punjab have to decide whether they want a government that builds good schools and hospitals or a government that plays Gulli-danda.Senior AAP leader and former police officer Kumar Vijay Pratap Singh, who was present on the dais, said that in the last 20 years, Punjab has changed from ‘Rangla Punjab’ to ‘Udta Punjab’. We have to make Punjab ‘Rangla, Happy and Properous’ again. He said, Punjab, which is at the forefront of the country in every field, has today lagged behind many states. There is exodus of industry from Punjab due to which unemployment is at its peak. Singh appealed to the people to form their government and said that the Aam Aadmi Party will change the definition of government by serving the common people equally.
