National Flag Hoisted At 30 Meters Height At Maqsudan Byepass On National Highway

DC & Others Remember Great Martyrs & Freedom Fighters For Their Peerless Contribution In Getting India Independent

Jalandhar : The national flag was hoisted at local Maqsudan byepass on Jalandhar-Amritsar National Highways at a height of 30 meters in presence of Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh on Wednesday morning.

As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ events in association with the CT Group, the tricolor was hoisted in a simple ceremony. This flag will be seen by lakhs of commuters passing through both sides of the National Highway, which instill sense of nationalism and patriotism amongst them as we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, said Jaspreet Singh.

The height of the pole erected for hoisting national flag is around 100 feet.Deputy Commissioner exhorted the youngsters to tread the path shown by our great martyrs so that their dreams can be realized.

He said that all of us were enjoying the fruit of independence just because of peerless sacrifices made by our martyrs for the sake of independence and their contribution could never be overlooked.

He also gave a call to youngsters for their constructive contribution in the overall development of the country.The students of CT Public School were holding banners spreading awareness against single use plastic and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The event concluded with recitation of national anthem.Others who were also present on the occasion included MD CT Group Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Naib Tehsildar Mandeep Singh and others.
