Weekly Block Diwas : DC Samba convenes Public Outreach progamme at Utterbheni

Samba : As part of Public Outreach Programme of UT of JK Government, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today convened a Public Outreach Programme under Weekly Block Diwas programme here at guest house Utterbheni of Block Puramandal and listened to issues and Development demands of Public representatives and locals.

The DC asked officers to take requisite action on the public grievances noted in the Block Divas adding that timeline redressal of the public grievances was the utmost priority of the Government.

The DC laid emphasis on maintaining close coordination with PRI members to assess and resolve the public issues, especially related to drinking water, power supply and flood control.

Among the issues raised on the occasion included expediting Rural Development works, speedy completion of allotted works, meeting drinking water requirements, maintenance of power supply, construction of new roads, besides other local issues.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing and directed the district officers to take immediate corrective measures to address the public issues. She asked the concerned departments to press in tanker service to the areas facing shortage of drinking water, and restoration, improvement of power supply scenario.

She directed Jal Shakti Department officers to share water discharge status with local PRIs in advance and according to scheduled roaster.The DC laid emphasis upon holding special camps for public services for providing Ayushman Bharat cards, aadhar cards; registration of eligible persons for different social security, employment and financial assistance schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner advised the people to avail benefits of online services provided by revenue department including Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani, issuance of certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards, attested copies etc.

The DC also informed them about the upcoming programmes, including Har Ghar Tiranga, Ujwal Bharat Ujwal Bhavishya etc and emphasized to actively participate.Among others District Development Council member Avtar Singh, Sarpanches, Naib Sarpanches, Panches, PO ICDS, SDM Vijaypur, ACD, Executive Engineers from PWD, PDD and Jal Shakti were also present.
