Weekly Block Diwas: ADDC Rajouri listens to people’s issues at Palma

Rajouri : Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today chaired a public outreach camp under the aegis of weekly Block Diwas program here at Palma and listened to the issues of the locals.

Among others, DDE, Qadeer Ul Rehman; ACD, Vijay Kumar; SE Hydraulics, Sanjeev Sharma; DSHO, Dr. Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary; LDM, Sanjeev Bhasin; CHO, Madan Lal; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Hasan Mohd; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Adarsh Kalsotra; AD Fisheries, Munesh Sharma; CDPO Rajouri, Naseer Ahmed and other district and sectoral officers attended the event.

The public and their representatives highlighted a number of issues and demands seeking augmentation of power and water supply, better medicare facilities, improvement of roads, school up-gradation etc.

Specific issues and demands raised during the event were upgradation of GHS Palma, scarcity of water; unscheduled power cuts, lack of ambulance service, paucity of staff in health institutions, repair of irrigation canal at Chadan, speedy implementation of JJM, sanctioning of additional Anganwadi Centres, construction of road from Rehtal to Khrad etc.

The officers of different departments also responded to the queries raised by the public during the event and educated them about the schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.

The ADDC listened to the issues of the public patiently and assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time-bound manner. The ADDC also issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments for taking necessary steps to meet the genuine demands of the local people so that they don’t face any inconveniences.

Responding to the issue of unscheduled power cuts, he asked the concerned officer to put the curtailment schedule in public domain for the information of the general public. He also assured that an adequate number of electricity poles would be provided under the RDSS scheme of the PDD sector.
