Shopian : Four Militants were killed in an Encounter at Pinjoora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday morning.With the killing of four Militants in Pinjoora and 5 Militants were killed in Reban Gunfight yesterday in Shopian and so far less than 24 hour’s 9 Militants among two Commanders were neutralised which is big success for security forces.Based on specific input about presence of Militants in Pinjoora village combined forces including Army laid search Operation in early hours.Reports said, As the forces approached the suspected spot Militants hiding fired on forces which was retaliated triggering Gunfight in the area in which four Militants were killed.Sources told three security personnel were injured in today’s encounter which were evacuated to hospital for treatment.DIG Police South Atul Goel said, Successful encounters a big Jolt to militancy in South Kashmir while talking to News Agency (KINS)He added killing of more Militants is a big Success for Security forces and big jolt for Militancy will bring peace in South Kashmir.”Huge arms and ammunition were recovered from encounter site in Pinjoora area in Shopian district,” the DIG said.All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes.The identity of the Militants are being ascertained however credible source the Militants belonged to Proscribed outfit HM.Srinagar based Army Pro in a Statement told, Op Pinzur (Shopian). ‬Joint operation launched in early hours today on intelligence input by JK Police. Here is Police Statement Read as,On a specific input generated by Shopian Police, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Shopian police, 44 RR and 14 Bn CRPF in Pinjoora area of District Shopian.During the search operation, the hiding terrorists fired on the joint search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter.In the ensuing encounter, 04 terrorists were killed and their bodies have been retrieved from the site of encounter. The identification and affiliation of the killed terrorists is being ascertained. However as per credible sources the killed terrorists belonged to proscribed terror outfit HM. All dead bodies of terrorists have been sent to Baramulla for their last rites. Families of terrorists if any, are requested to identify them at Baramulla and if identified, their families can participate in burial and last rites as per religious practices. Just 24 hrs before, 05 terrorists were killed in the Rebon Shopian area of same district. Dead bodies of all the said five terrorists have been identified by their families at burial site and they participated in their last rites yesterday night.Incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes.In this connection a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Shopian and investigation has been initiated.People are requested to cooperate with police till the area is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosive materials, if any. identified, the families can associate in burial and last rites as per religious practices.
