Dudu-Basantgarh, Moungri being developed under Aspiration Block scheme

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today chaired a meeting of BDCs, DDCs and the officers of line departments to discuss the aspiration Block Development Plan for Dudu-Basantgarh and Moungri blocks, here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex.Detailed discussion was held on various suggestions/demands spelled out by the PRIs of the twin blocks. The meeting suggested for streamlining of provision of Institutional deliveries, Vaccination of left out population, completion of power stations, construction of separate female toilets in Government schools, provision of X-Ray machines in government hospital(s), filling of vacant posts in educational and health institutions, construction of playgrounds, Construction of approach road to PHC Dudu and accommodation for its staff, construction of community hall, Repair of school buildings, augmentation of infrastructure in schools, construction of boundary wall, promotion of local products, construction of Dubigali health sub centre, Protection wall and fencing of PHC Moungri, Plantation drive etc discussed in detail.

The officers were asked to prepare the comprehensive Block Development Plan and submit within a given timeline for effective implementation of this ambitious program. The DC asked the officers of line departments to revisit the plan besides taking into account the suggestions of PRIs. She asked the concerned officers of line departments to make a special component plan in convergence mode to bring improvement on key indicators of development in the twin blocks of the District.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Kanta Devi; Project officer, ICDS, Attar Chand; Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other officers of different departments attended the meeting on the occasion.
