DC Samba discusses development issues with CUJ -VC, Varsity Authorities

Samba: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today visited Central University Jammu Campus at Suchani and took stock of various issues being faced by the University authorities in the development of infrastructure.A meeting of authorities of Central University Jammu and District administration Samba was jointly chaired by Vice Chancellor CUJ, Sanjeev Jain and DC Samba to address the issues related to development of University campus at Rahya, Vijaypur. The meeting discussed various issues including civil works, land acquisition, landscaping and the DC issues necessary instructions to the concerned departments.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Sharma, Registrar Central University Dr Ravi Kumar, Divisional Forest Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD, Jal Shakti, PDD besides other officers and officials including University representatives were also present.

The Deputy Commissioner directed for immediate resumption of civil works pending under languishing scheme. She directed the executing agency to ensure that the civil works including earth work, protection wall, Black topping, drainage system and others are resumed forthwith.The DC also stressed on prioritizing the land acquisition process and handing over land to the higher education department at the earliest. “Ensure speedy execution of the pending civil works with close coordination among line departments and University officials” added DC Samba.While reviewing the transportation issue, the Deputy Commissioner assured that the route permits issued to vehicles for plying on Vijaypur to Central University route would be strictly enforced.
