Women farmers trained in operating solar dryers

Reasi: Department of Horticulture Reasi, in collaboration with JKRLM, today hosted awareness-cum-training program for women farmers on operation of solar dryershere, here at village Bhaga.District Development commissioner Reasi, S.Charandeep Singh was the Chief Guest.During the program, 34 solar dryers were distributed on 50 pc subsidy under UT CAPEX by District Development commissioner Reasi.Chief Horticulture officer Brij Vallabh Gupta apprised the Chief guest regarding the future program for the uplift of women farmers in the field of value addition.

The District Development Commissioner promised the women farmers of every possible support to excel in the field of food processing and other ventures.The participants requested the chief Horticulture officer to organise more awareness programs. Block manager JkRLM and DLSMS Horticulture Department were present.Engineer Pardeep Sharma demonstrated the functioning of the solar dryer.
