DDC Chairperson Poonch Tazeem Akther reviews progress achieved under District Capex 2022-23

Poonch : Chairperson District Development Council Poonch, Tazeem Akther, today chaired a daylong meeting here in conference Hall of Dak Banglow to review the status of developmental projects being undertaken under District Capex 2022-23 and other schemes being implemented in the District.

Jahangir Khan; ACP, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti; CHO, Sanjeev Sharma; CEO Municipality, Harvinder Singh; CEO Education, Bishamber Das, DIO, Vishaldeep Chandan; AD Food, Ranjeet Singh; DYSSO, Mohd Qasim; Executive Engineers, All BDO’s, besides other District and sectoral officers attended the meeting.

At the outset, the ADDC/CEO District Development Council apprised the meeting about the physical and financial status of ongoing projects under district Capex 2022 23.

The concerned Officer appraised the meeting about various works under R&B, PMGSY, PHE, PDD, Health, Education, Forest, Agriculture, Sports, Tourism and other sectors schemes of their departments.

DDC/BDC’s has discussed and raised important issues regarding the development of their concerned areas like Maintenance of minor irrigation canals at Mankote, construction of protection wall at TFC Chak Da Bagh, procurement of medical equipments under BDC/DDC grants, construction of sub centre at Qasba and Khawarian, Providing of additional ambulance at PHC Chandimarh, besides other important issues were also discussed.

The DDC members also raised the demand of the blacktopping of roads for the convenience of the general public. Speaking in the meeting, the DDC chairperson stressed the concerned officers to mobilize the resources at work places and speed up the pace of developmental works with strict adherence to the quality parameters.

She also directed Xen’s to pay on-site visits with concerned DDC/BDC to sort out the issues discussed earlier. The CEO Poonch was directed to fill the staff vacancy in the schools.

XEN PHE was directed to complete the work on ongoing schemes and other important directions were also passed. The Chairperson further laid emphasis on the timely completion of all development projects and timely utilisation of allotted funds to the concerned departments.
