Kishtwar administration braces for pre COVID-19 vaccination rollout survey

Kishtwar : In order generate the category wise database of the estimated 3.3 lakh population of District for universal administration of COVID-19 Vaccine, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today sensitized the Booth level Officers and other staff about the pre vaccination survey.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Amir Hussain; Chief Medical officer, Dr R S Manhas; District Social Welfare Officer,Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Dy. S P Headquarters, Devender Kumar; Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar, Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar, BLOs and other officials.At the outset, the DDC briefed the participants about the various aspects of the COVID-19 Vaccine roll out and explained the modalities for the collection, storage, distribution and inoculation of the vaccine.He further informed that about 118 vaccination booths have been identified across the district. Besides this some mobile booths shall be established, he added.“Prior to vaccination, the category wise database of projected 3.3 lakh population of the district shall be generated through teams comprising ASHA Workers, Anganwadi Workers, BLOs and 2 to 3 staff from education or other departments” he added.The teams, he said shall be mandated first to maintained the category wise data base of the population surveyed and then to administer Vaccine as per the indentified priority groups.The data captured during Swastha Nidi survey besides collected by the teams already constituted for Swastha Nidhi Survey shall be re -activated and used for this assignment, the DDC added.He also asked the participants to capture the proper and accurate details of entire population considering it not only as government duty but a social responsibility so that no one is left out in the process of vaccination.The four categories of priority groups to be identified includes the Health workers, Frontline workers who are directly linked with the management of COVID-19 pandemic, the persons above the age of 50 years or person with co- morbidity and general public.It was further informed that the format for capturing the data shall be circulated among the teams.
