DDC Doda inspects transformer repair workshop

Doda : District Development Commissioner, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today visited transformer repair workshop, here at Grid station and took first hand appraisal of its functioning.During the visit, the DDC inquired about the number of transformers repaired till date, besides reviewed the entries in the day book maintained by the staff.The concerned AEE apprised the DDC about the entire process/time taken to repair a damaged transformer. They informed that damaged transformers in rural areas are replaced in maximum three days, while in urban areas it takes maximum one day.The AEE said that to ensure the timely replacement of the damaged transformers, the officials work over time to save the people from inconvenience amid the harsh winter conditions.The DDC appreciated the efforts of the ground level staff for working tirelessly for the convenience of the people. He asked them to keep up the good work for timely delivery of services to the people of the area.The DDC also urged the people across the district to make judicious use of the electricity and avoid use of heavy appliances which leads to power unscheduled shutdowns.
