DC Ramban inspects progress of work on Maitra Bridge

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today visited the construction site of 270 meter bridge over river Chenab at Maitra and inspected the pace of work.The Bridge project is being constructed by Public Works Department at an estimated cost of Rs 43 crore under languishing project scheme,The DC was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, besides Engineers and representatives of Construction Company.The DC discussed the issues pertaining to its construction of the project with engineers of the executing agency and directed them to accelerate the pace of progress on the river side as water level is increasing due to rise in temperature.The DC also directed the executing agency to speed up the construction work to complete the project in stipulated time, besides assuring them full cooperation from District Administration.
