DDC Bandipora distributes motorized tricycles among specially abled persons

Bandipora : District Development Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir Saturday provided motorized tricycles to 14 differently-abled Persons.The distribution ceremony was organized by Social Welfare Department Bandipora.Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, District Social Welfare Officer, Altaf Hussain Bhat besides all other officials of the department were present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, DDC complimented the Social Welfare Department for organizing the distribution camp for specially-abled Persons. He said that the motorized Tricycles will empower the people with special needs and would help them in dealing with challenges for inclusion in the mainstream life .He added that the mobility of the specially challenged people would be pivotal in earning sustainable livelihoods without inconvenience.DDC also appreciated the efforts of department in reaching out to the marginalized and downtrodden sections of the society during lockdown.Speaking on the occasion, DSWO informed that the department is committed to contribute towards the welfare of needy in the society. He also informed that the department is consistently on the job to identify specially abled persons across the district. Department will distribute another lot of motorized tricycles in the future course of time among the deserving persons, he added.
