Shopian / (Mudasir Maqbool) : Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice, Ravi Shanker Prasad Praises a Specially abled man from J&K’s Shopian district for travelling 70 kms to register a patient under PM -JAY Scheme.In a tweet Prasad said, Ayushman Bharat is benefiting each and every citizen across the country. CSC VLE Sheeraz Ahmad from J&K traveled 70kms from his centre to register senior citizens and patients under this scheme so that they can avail free medical treatment without any hassle. Sheeraz Ahmad from Remote village Nildoora is himself a specially-abled person who travelled 70 kms to register a patient under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) scheme.The patient was admitted is undergoing treatment in SMHS when i register him and within two hours after that a golden card was issued to him.Being himself specifically abled I feel proud to serve the underprivileged of the society.He told, The patient’s treatment is being facilitated before discharge and hospital authorities will ensure that no payment is collected from him.I run CSC VLE centre in my Village In Shopian I have registered thousands of households under this scheme so far.I helped a patient from Tulran to get a golden card to avail the benefit under Ayushman Bharat Scheme and i understand the circumstances of the people and having my best to avail the scheme more and more people.After appreciation from higher-ups he has won hearts by his work towards society despite being a Specially abled person.
