Ramban Admin releases Rs 1.65 crore in favour of 16568 registered construction workers

District Administration, Ramban has released Rs.1.65 crore in favour of 16568 construction workers registered with Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).According to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh, financial assistance of Rs 1000 each for the month of May is being transferred through DBT mode

Ramban : District Administration, Ramban has released Rs.1.65 crore in favour of 16568 construction workers registered with Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).According to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh, financial assistance of Rs 1000 each for the month of May is being transferred through DBT mode in the bank accounts of 16,568 beneficiaries registered under Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB) scheme in the district as Covid relief. Pertinent to mention here that, the Government has announced financial assistance for a period of two months, May and June to mitigate the sufferings of the construction workers who have been unable to earn bread and butter for their families due to Covid containment lock down imposed amid second wave.Taking prompt action, Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam mobilized the Labour Department for starting the process of release of financial assistance to provide succor to the construction workers.
