Progress of dev. works under health sector reviewed at Kupwara

Kupwara : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din, a review meeting of the health sector was held today here under the Chairmanship of Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed.The meeting was convened to review the progress of the works approved under District Capex Budget 2021-22 (Health sector) under different fund schemes in the district.Threadbare discussion on the subject was held on the occasion and it was informed that under health sector, total 54 different works have been taken up in hand for execution at an approved outlay of Rs. 443.52 lakhs, out of which 50 percent funds amounting to Rs.221.76 lakhs have been released and the work is apace at different stages of execution.
It was also given out in the meeting that of these 54 works, 22 works are funded under DDC budget in the district while 20 are funded under Area Development Fund (PRI Grants) and 12 works are taken up under District CAPEX budget.Addressing the meeting, the Joint Director, Planning stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the execution of works and ensure that all ongoing works are completed within the stipulated time frame.The meeting was attended by various DDC members, chairpersons of BDCs, Chief Medical Officer and Block Medical Officers, Executive Engineers of R&B, besides, other concerned.On the occasion, team Information Department, Kupwara appealed all participants of the meeting to follow the COVID appropriate behaviour and other SOPs religiously to keep the pandemic at bay.
