Poonch: School Education department hosts Seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Deliverables Targets

Poonch : To spread the message of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to every household, the department of School Education Poonch on Wednesday organized a seminar in the conference Hall of CEO Office Poonch attended by the officers and heads of Educational institutions.

Allthe Headmasters of Poonch district attended the seminar and pledged to take this Abhiyan to every nook and corner of Poonch district.Bishamber Dass, Chief Education Officer Poonch said that Education department directly deals with the youth and “We need to aware them about the harmful effects of drugs, their safety and proper motivation which can help in eradication of drug abuse,” He advised the Education officers and teachers to interact with the students and inform them about the schemes and treatment facilities offered by the government at de-addiction centers.

He said that the state government has launched the initiative as it was felt that there was a need to educate, aware and involve the youth in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.He asked the Education Officers to motivate the students to become ambassadors of the police in identifying those who needed special attention and care.

Mohammad Riaz Mir, Principal HSS Jhullass, said that the teachers are the key persons who can bring change in the society. They need to involve all the stakeholders in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan so that the motive of the campaign is achieved.

An activity schedule for the month of September was issued which included Seminars, Rallies, Symposiums, Rangoli, Essar Writing competitions on the topic “Drug Abuse”.Ghulam Hussain, SO, Ravinder Kumar and Mudassar Ahmed spoke on various issues related to Nasha Mukt Bharat and deliverables.Darshan Kumar and Harish Sharma (DRGs) delivered lectures on Deliverables and NEP-2020.
