Plantation drive held at DC Office Reasi

Reasi : District administration Reasi, today carried out a plantation drive in the premises of Mini Secretariat, DC Office.District officers of different departments participated in the programme.District Development Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh, said that every year on June 5, people around the world observe World Environment Day to raise awareness about the importance of nature and to inspire positive approach towards the environment conservation. He said the district administration has started a plantation drive in Reasi and Forest, Horticulture and Sericulture departments have been directed to start an extensive plantation drive in the district.He urged staff members to grow more and more plants in their localities for environmental sustainability as this year’s theme is Ecosystem Restoration through “Rethink, Reimagine and Restore”. Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADDC, Jyoti Slathia, CPO Sunita Kanchan, ACD Anirudh Rai, CMO, Dr.Rajeev Sharma, DSEO, DMO, DSHO, DYSO besides others.
