NH 144A Widening Project : DDC Rajouri inspects progress of work at different constructions sites

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today inspected the progress of work at different construction sites on the Jammu- Rajouri – Poonch National Highway (NH144A) falling in the District .

The widening project for the existing road comprises of 8 packages with the first package starting from Akhnoor.Officers accompanying the DC during the inspection visit included ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh, Officer Commanding GREF, AC Defence and Tehsildar Rajouri,The DC inquired about the land acquisition status and asked for timely payment of the compensation of structures and land to the rightful claimants.

While reviewing the progress on the project, the DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilize men and machinery to ensure complete the project within the already set deadline.

The DDC also directed to maintain quality of work and warned against any laxity in this regard.He further asked to maintain interdepartmental coordination and hold regular meetings to sort out issues, if any.
