MTMP 2.0 : Saurabh Bhagat inspects various stalls set up by line departments at Katra

DC Reasi leads cleanliness drive in all wards of district

Reasi : My Town My Pride-2.0 in Municipal Council Reasi and MC Katra of the district under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakhwal successful culminated here today. On second day of My Town My Pride 2.0 programme, several activities were conducted by the visiting officers during the day in the presence of Urban Local Body members and prominent citizens of town of Reasi.

On the concluding day of MTMP 2.0, Saurabh Bhagat, Commissioner Secretary Science and Technology visiting officers MC Katra inspected various stalls set up by various line departments at Devi Park, Banganga Road ,Katra.

The visiting officer enquired about the deliverables delivered by various departments during week long Jan Abhiyan Programme that culminated with MTMP 2.0. A mega cleanliness drive was also conducted in different wards of Reasi and Katra Town on second day of MTMP-2.0 programme in which DC Reasi Babila Rakhwal leads from front and Prominent citizens, wards members and officers participated enthusiastically and took pledge to make Reasi clean and garbage /litter free district.

During the Cleanliness drive Sub Divisional Magistrate Katra, Angrez Singh also participate in the drive. While highlighted the importance of maintaining the sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene and appealed all participants to keep their surroundings clean and also motivate others in maintaining the cleanliness.

He called upon the public for discarding the use of polythene, maintaining hygiene, keeping water resources clean for a holistic clean environment in the district. On second day, visiting officer held a formal meeting with the Sub Divisional Officers and elected ward members apart from other stake holders on the agenda as per MTMP 2.0.

The visiting officer gave a patient hearing to the grievances raised by all the stake holders and elected ward members and apprised the audience present about the significance of the MTMP 2.0,during the meeting all plans prepares for ULB were unanimously adopted and works under Capex for Financial Year 2023 2024 were adopted during the meeting.

The Visiting officer distributed self employment letters, Street vendor certificates, Inspection of school and sports activity, Distribution of financial assistance under PMAY-U, Nukkad Natak on Nash Mukht, Inspection of ongoing works, Inspection of Solid waste management plant, Greh parvesh ceremonies etc were held in addition to plethora of activities.

On concluding of My Town My Pride, Special Secretary Home Department, Asgar Hussain visiting officers MC Reasi inspected various departmental stalls at Ramleela ground and enquired about deliverables and steps being taken for their saturation.

He also Interacted with ULB members and prominent citizens, they put forth their issues and demands. After patiently listening to their issues and demands. The Visiting officer also visited Govt girls school Reasi where he interacted with students and inauguration the sports events.

He also visited to the Mother Child Hospital where general public highlighted the issue regarding its operationalization. Enroute, the Visiting officer also visited Bus stand Reasi and stressed on creating proper parking facility in bus stand being created by Municipal Council Reasi at an approximate cost of Rs 37 crore with phase first at Rs 5 crore.

The Visiting officer also visited Solid waste management plant site and inspected the work there he appreciated the work being done and conducts formal meeting of the house was also done where all the departments were present along with president vice president all the members who highlighted their genuine demands and their speedy disposal.

During the visit Detailed discussion on 7 draft plans and their adaption. On Second day he visited degree college and district hospital Reasi and interacted with staff members and appreciated the facility being provided, infrastructure of the hospital and staff also.
